Research

Research time.

I looked through some books today and wrote down names of artists whose work I saw and really liked.  The ones I am really interested in are the ones I squealed for…

I saw these awesome pieces in a book named (Adorn – New Jewellery) The pieces are by a designer named Hannah Havana.

Engagement-all

I think I am in love.

This piece is named She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not by Hannah Havana (via www.garudiostudiage.com)

Have a look at this website – it is great!

I don’t often want things, but there are some I simply need. This is one -

These are named Flat Pets by Chris Ratcliffe (via www.garudiostudiage.com)

They speak for themselves – I know a good home looking for a Flat pet.

dying complete.. waste of time?

I did some dying! It was not a complete waste of time. It was enough to make me realise that using drawstring material for my production line was not going to work properly. So here are some images of the dyed drawstring in action, and then the final outcome.

This is the cord I dyed black – my post for Help! was to do with this project so you may recognise the spray can nozzle. It is the only object I will use in this project now. Before hand I was looking at the three objects in the images in the post Help!

This is the second type of drawsting that I tried to dye black – but it did not take. So it turned out grey, which is a colour I wanted all the same. What do you think of these? Would you wear them as a neckpiece?

Obviously they have improved somewhat.. I will post some more images soon. k.

This is one example of the necklaces I mentioned in an earlier post, related to the colour brooches. This is the warm wheel, and the two images show the mechanics of the pendant. Very simply you just adjust the tags on each circle and it moves the fours circles to create your own desired pattern. They too are powercoated aluminium. The material that makes the necklace part is stainless steel cable.  Hope you like them as much as I do!
